In an e-mailed response yesterday, HBO spokesperson Tobe Becker said she had no information about another season of the ribald comedy series. Johnny Griffin, director of the Wilmington Regional Film Commission, also said he hadn’t heard of additional episodes being ordered.
Meanwhile, the creators and stars of “Little Britain USA” are busy doing other things.
Matt Lucas is filming the animated movie “Astro Boy” and Tim Burton’s version of “Alice in Wonderland,” in which he’ll play Tweedledee/Tweedledum. And David Walliams has a role in “No Man’s Land,” a play at the Duke of York’s Theatre in London. He’ll be tied up with that through Jan. 3.
“Little Britain USA” filmed a six-episode season in Wilmington from April 14 to May 9. About 75 local crew members worked on the series.
The series premiered on HBO Sept. 28 and the season finale aired Nov. 2. The first season arrives on DVD Jan. 13.
