Wilmington police charged two men Thursday with drug trafficking after finding more than 300 bags of heroin.

Otto Greene, 39, was arrested about 7 p.m. after police seized more than $6,000 worth of heroin, eight guns and a stolen SKS assault rifle at 704 Harnett St.. Greene was arrested after police conducted a search warrant at the location and found the drugs and weapons, police officials said.

The search warrant was the result of the earlier arrest of Alan Leroy Johnson Jr. , 18, where police seized 100 bags of heroin and a handgun during a traffic stop in the 300 block of Anderson St.

Greene is in New Hanover County Jail under $150,000 secured bond. Johnson is also in county jail under $800,000 secured bond.

Man robbed at gas station

Wilmington police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station in the 3700 block of Shipyard Boulevard.

According to the police report, a man was getting gas when a white Expedition pulled up behind and a man approached him and asked him how much money he had in his wallet. The man began to count his money when the other man pulled out a black gun and demanded his wallet. The male suspect told the man to get into his car and drive away and not look back, the report said.
